LakeSmart-signLakeSmart recognizes properties that are maintained in a way that helps to preserve the lake’s cleanliness. Look for the LakeSmart symbol on properties that have been recognized for their better management practices and become a LakeSmart property enthusiast.

As a result of our MPSL watershed survey in 2017, there is money available to help lake residents in shore-front remediation. There is a Remediation form (download pdf) that is required to be filled out and returned to the LakeSmart coordinators.

2018 LakeSmart Progress:
11 Screening/Evaluations were done.
4 LakeSmart Certifications and 2 Commendations were awarded.

Infiltration Steps to buffer McGrath Pond

The Youth Conservation Corp (YCC) of the 7 Lakes Alliance is available to assist lakeshore property owners with LakeSmart projects. MPSLA help fund the YCC. We will be posting example projects from home owners on our lakes.
